Privacy Policy

Hollowdusk · last updated 23 September 2026 · back to the game

This policy explains what Hollowdusk collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect what the game needs to run and to save your progress, we don't sell data, and there are no ads.

What we collect

Why we use it

Emails

We use your email address to sign you in and to send service emails about your account, beta access, security, or important changes.

We send news and updates (marketing) only if you opted in. The box is unticked by default when you request a key, and you can change your choice at any time from the ☰ menu in the game. We keep a record of when and how you opted in or out. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by writing to [email protected]. We never sell or rent your email address or share it with advertisers.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie, sid, to keep you signed in. It is HttpOnly and used for nothing else. The game also stores settings and an unsynced local copy of your world in your browser's local storage.

Other services

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) to protect and speed up the service, and provides basic, cookieless web analytics. We use no advertising or tracking networks, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Account and game data are kept while your account exists. Visit statistics are kept as daily totals.

Your choices

You can ask us to export or delete your account and its data, or to stop all non-essential email, at [email protected]. You can switch news emails on or off yourself at any time from the ☰ menu in the game.

Children

Hollowdusk isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change and note the date at the top.
